the challenge

Rasteffari are looking to introduce the new, healthier alternative, teff grain snacks and flavours to the growing UK snack market.

Ethiopian food is full of colour and flavour. Our challenge was to create a brand identity that played into the Rastafarian aesthetic (given the movement’s Ethiopian heritage), and packaging that look inviting, played into Ethiopian names, while clearly explaining the flavour.

our approach

The Rasteffari brand itself brings in colours traditionally associated with the Rasta movement, black, red, and yellow.

For the packaging, bright colours were chosen to echo the life and soul of the food, and attract people browsing the snack shelves. The vibrant packaging contains the Ethiopian flavour name, and a clear description, so people know what to expect from these tasty new snacks.
